Pack 452 Home Page

Congratulations, you have reached the Home Page of Pack 452, sponsored by the Silver Spring Jewish Center, Silver Spring, MD. We are located just north of Washington, DC, in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Our Pack is part of the National Capitol Area Council (NCAC), Rock Creek District.

While membership is open to all boys in Grades 15, our pack draws its membership primarily from 4 different private Jewish Day Schools in the Washington, DC metropolitan area:

Hebrew Day School (HDS) of Montgomery County, Silver Spring, MD

Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy (MJBHA), Rockville, MD

Hebrew Day Institute (HDI), Silver Spring, MD

Torah School of Greater Washington, Silver Spring, MD

Our Pack meets approximately once a month. You can use the links above to view our Pack calendar and to find out the latest information on upcoming Pack activities. You can also visit our Library where you can print out a membership form if you are considering joining our Pack.

Our Pack is comprised of several dens, arranged primarily according to grade level. Boys must meet a variety of requirements geared to their age to earn a badge appropriate to their rank. You can learn more about the specific requirements for each rank by clicking on the appropriate badge symbols on the left.

In addition to rank badges, scouts can earn patches and pins for many other activities as well.

Jewish scouts are also eligible to earn one of two special Jewish Scout Awards:

The Maccabee Emblem (Grades 1-3)

The Aleph Emblem (Grades 3-5)
